Patrick Richard is a French photographer living in Bali. Through his photographs, he attempts to draw a portrait of the daily life of Balinese society, its rites and its organization. In 1999, after 25 years of a distinguished career in business, Patrick Richard decided to live his passions by returning to his first loves: theatre and writing. In 2004, he moved to Bali, the host country and place of transfer. There, his meeting with a director, who offered him to be a set photographer on his film, was decisive. Continuously travelling through his adopted land in order to capture emotions and furtive images, he is exposed for the first time in 2005, it will be East sunset+. Intense homage to the island of the gods and its people. O2], his fifth exhibition, was presented in August 2011 at Kendra Gallery in Bali, then in 2012 and 2013 in Singapore and Thailand. In April 2013, it was offered to the Compagnie Française de l'Orient et de la Chine. The exhibition[O2] : Patrick Richard proposes a pause, a breath, time for a moment, like an awareness of the present and the rarity of what surrounds us. He also raises with poetry this question of the future which, without the respect of each one, remains a permanent question.
