Between 25 million and 225 million years old, these petrified pieces of wood, also called fossilised wood, were discovered by our explorers in the volcanic regions of Java. The island of Java was once the scene of numerous volcanic eruptions, burying entire forests beneath layers of ash. Over time, silicon turned the wood into minerals. In spite of its fossilisation, the wood has preserved all of its characteristics, from its shape to its grain. Once extracted, the petrified wood was cut, polished and mounted on a black metal support. Available in sets of three nested tables or as an individual coffee table, personalize your interior with these unique pieces.
